Dae Lilies is the newest venture of renowned New York guitarist Denise Mercedes,
Producer of this new broad based rock & roll undertaking!
The Dae Lilies project will involve guest artists she will be working with for recording/release.

Some of Mercedes prior well known projects include founding the influential NYC punk band The Stimulators; a decade in tribute work, most notably in Girls Girls Girls (world’s first and best all female Motley Crue); and Bible Black NYC, devoted to Dio/Black Sabbath. Recovering from an almost 2-year bout with severe tendinitis, Mercedes has returned to songwriting and recording with Stimulators bassist, collaborator Nick Marden. Upcoming recordings of their project will feature special guest artists including and starting with the sensational vocalist LaLa Brooks.

The first Dae Lilies release “Baby I Miss You” is a work that embodies their great love of 60’s girl group vocals with a driving melodic hard rock backing. Known as ‘the voice’ of the hit making girl group The Crystals, LaLa Brooks gave legendary producer Phil Spector his first wall of sound hit “Da Do Ron Ron” with her unforgettable singing style. She enjoys a long, active career in music performing throughout the world with remarkable credits in her professional singing portfolio.

The project name Dae Lilies came into being by virtue of a vivid dream Mercedes had on New Year’s Eve 2016, in which Prince was present, encouraging her, and specifically giving the name Dae Lilies to use moving forward in her musical ambitions.

The first song being released: “Baby I Miss You” is about love lost in the mortal form forever, and trying to come to grips with the enormity of that devastating inevitability. It cherishes the memories but hurts in “the longing for what’s gone.” The lyrics have a universal truth that we all know and share.

Additional musicians on the track are New York drummer Joe Rizzo, and backup singer Angie Workman.

**Other top notch musicians will be participating in the ongoing Dae Lilies project. Currently, this will include drummer Kiki a/k/a Tawny Lee, with whom Mercedes spent years performing and touring together in the Girls Girls Girls tribute band*
